I told the world that Iraq, contrary to your claims did not have weapons of mass destruction.
I told the world, contrary to your claims, that Iraq had no connection to al-Qaeda.
I told the world, contrary to your claims, that Iraq had no connection to the atrocity on 9/11 2001.
These are very strong words. From a Briton, no less. There are few Americans on TV or otherwise who would speak Truth to Power like this. I imagine some readers would try to argue against this, but no affirmative evidence of what the US tried to tell everyone has really materialized (and no, Rush, FoxNews, The RNC, Scott McClellan, or Any other Prominent Republican do not count.)
Very Soon, either the Republicans will crack and fall, or they'll gain total control.
Morals are running low in this country.
We think it's cool to have extramarital affairs
We think its cool to have sex with a 21 year old when you're 50 and the most powerful man on earth.
We think its cool to have unprotected sex, get pregnant and abort the life we created.
We think its cool to lie and cheat on exams so we'll pass and not LOOK stupid.
We think its cool to steal until it happens to us.
We think war is uncool yet we wage war against our neighbors, brothers, sisters, boss's, co-workers, parents and anyone else who does'nt think like we do on a daily basis.
You are probably at war with youself right now.
You might as well take war for granted cuz it coincides with the low moral standards of this country. The enemy is us.

Everyone wants to blame Bush for our involvement in this war. Call your congressman and ask them why they supported the war? Why not consider the actions of Sadaam? Bush is NOT out to destroy and make you existence as misreliable as possible. At least, he has the moral fortitude to keep his zipper up.

how do you know his zipper is up? maybe its just he wasnt caught yet.

What the hell does the zipper have to do with anything. Clinton did not kill anyone by having sex with Monica Lewinsky. It was none of your business that Clinton had sex with Monica Lewinsky. But you right wingers tromp that out every time someone mentions his name. Give it a freakin' rest. How about discussing real issues?

9/11 Was such a sad day for us.I worked in the transportation industry at the time. I remember waking up and seeing on msn about the twin towers. I went into work and the company i worked for is a major force in the industry. Our of our local drivers in losangeles was all called home and at work we were talking about what happened and felt we should have been in afghanistan the next day instead of asking the whole world if we could attack in retalliation. Notice we cannot find osama? We waited too long. One month was too long to go looking for him. Shame on Bush for losing focus on what he should have been concentrating on. What does everyone else thinks?

I remember 9/11. I remember exactly where I was, what I was doing, and how I felt.
That doesn't change the fact that Iraq had nothing to do with it. It was Al Quada, funded by the Saudis. Do you really think that the Saudis aren't making a mint off of this occupation? Because that's exactly what this is, an occupation. We invaded a foreign country under false pretenses. Half of the population still doesn't get the fact that Iraq wasn't involved.
Someone out there is going to try and say that they funded the terrorists, that Saddam funded the terrorists. To those people I say: Iran Contra, Afghan arms deals during the cold war, and dare I say it...Watergate. Our hands are just as bloody. This war is about the money. Money that can be made off of an oil rich, alienated Muslim nation.
Bush is flat out incompetant. His job is to protect and serve the American People, he is after all the Commander in Chief of our armed forces. His job is not to serve corporations, oil barons, or foreign allies. By going to war with Iraq he has killed countless innocents in the process. 100,000 was the civilian death toll the last time I looked. In a country where the median age is 19, many of those victims had to be children. Two of the first targets we hit during the initial bombing campaign were a children's hospital and an elementary school.
You ask yourself if we kill someone's children, how do you suppose they are going to feel about us? Like we're a huge bully with no regard for their lives or the lives of their children I would imagine. Honor in the Middle East is different then the western idea of honor. There are lives to be avenged and who do you suppose is going to be on the receiving end of that vengeance my friend? The United States, so really this war is serving to provide the terrorists with a ready supply of disgruntled, disillusioned survivors who have relatives to avenge. This war has NOT made our country safer, and has not convinced the Iraqi people that we have their best interests at heart.
The fact that this war was ill planned, has contributed to the high civilian death toll. We've killed more than twenty times as many people as died in the World Trade Center. In a nation that had nothing to do with 9/11. We aren't making anything better here.

MCA,
Actually we had Osama Bin Ladin cornered in the mountains of Afghanistan. However, we opted to let the Afghani forces handle the bust and Osama slipped through their fingers. I have a friend who is in Afghanistan right now. Osama got away because we didn't take the initiative to go in there ourselves. Our soldiers were ordered to stand down and let the Afghani military handle it.
Did it ever occur to you that our government doesn't want to catch Osama? The Bush family and the Bin Ladin family have done business for years. I mean really, how hard can it be to find a six foot muslim man on dialysis? He's got to have access to adequate medical equipment and personnel at all times. The most logical explanation is that this administration doesn't want to catch Osama at all. It's likely that he's just a scapegoat for the tragedy that gave Bush his highest approval rating ever and allowed him to invade Iraq.
Do you suppose it's possible that he's using our brave men and women to further his own selfish agenda? That this is all just an elaborate ruse toward that end?
